
Nollywood actress and producer, FATHIA BALOGUN-WILLIAMS says she is happy to see her new movie Efunroye; The Unicorn break into the cinema.
FATHIA in an interview with DOKMEDIA NEWS during her short Meet and greet event at the Film House cinema Dugbe, Ibadan said she was at a point pessimistic about the success of the movie production, but with the review and feedback from movie fans since its premier on May 1, 2026 in Lagos, it has been a mind blowing and encouraging feeling.
FATHIA who visited Ibadan over the weekend, also met movie fans in Oshogbo, Osun state in one of her Southwest tour of the movie Efunroye; The Unicorn .
While speaking about the production process of the movie , she also picked skit makers ISAAC OLAYIWOLA a.ka LAYI WASABI and AKINYOOLA AYOOLA a.k.a KAMO STATE as craziest characters on the set.
Efunroye: The Unicorn is a 2026 Nollywood historical epic, produced by and starring Faithia Williams, which chronicles the life of Madam Efunroye Tinubu, a powerful 19th-century merchant and kingmaker in Yorubaland. The film depicts her rise from a trader near Abeokuta to a dominant political and economic force in Lagos, covering her marriage to an exiled Oba and her resistance against British colonial influence.
