24 hours after Oyo state governor, Engineer SEYI MAKINDE visited Oriire Local Government Area ;the environment where pupils and teachers were kidnapped 2weeks ago,the Chief of Staff to President BOLA TINUBU, Rt. Hon. FEMI GBAJABIAMILA; the National Security Adviser, MALLAM NUHU RIBADU; and Honorable Minister of Power JOSEPH TEGBE arrived in Ogbomoso as part of a high-level Federal Government delegation on a fact-finding and assessment mission to communities affected by recent security incidents in the Area.
During the visit, Senator ABDULFATAI BUHARI, Ph.D., provided a comprehensive briefing on the security situation, highlighting the challenges faced by residents, ongoing response efforts, and measures being implemented to strengthen security and restore normalcy in the affected communities.
The delegation also engaged with community leaders, security agencies, and other key stakeholders, reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property and ensuring lasting peace across the area.
Speaking at the open meeting ,GBAJABIAMILA who came in a chopper with other senior Presidential delegates on Sunday said “Mr President has told me to tell you that you are not alone. He has told me to tell you that He and His administration indeed stands with you”
The visit is coming after Governor MAKINDE visited stakeholders in the Oriire community and promised to expedite action in reuniting the victims and families.
